After my dear brother John passed away from malignant melanoma on February 22, 2003 it was very difficult to deal with my grief. In the ocean freediving I always found myself thinking of him. At times I would just go deep just looking for him and really not caring if I came back up .. I was able to channel that grief into trying to obtain a goal of diving to 100' in his memory and in hopes of raising melanoma awareness. I sewed one "Wings of Hope" pin on the hood I wear diving and one on my dive skin over my heart. With John in my heart and in my mind I was able to successfully reach that goal today. The grief is still very much there today and new goals will be made . It is a special day and I wanted to share it with you all. Attached is a file that illustrates four freedives I made on the Pro Dive II with Captain Stu Dye, his crew and divemasters Brad , Will and Richard. There were also other diving friends, Alex, Sean and many others whose names I can't remember. All were very instrumental in helping me reach my goal especially Capt. Stu Dye and his crew. Thank you for your support.

Some sand and stones I brought up from 116 foot freedive that the crew
saved for me after I placed it on the stern dive platform.
